Project Overview
Kōz in Lower Queen Anne is a 169-unit mixed-income, ground-up development in downtown Seattle, Washington. The all-electric project is being developed by a women-led firm, Kōz Development, and will provide housing affordable at rents attainable to workforce levels, including more than 50% restricted for households earning 40%-80% AMI. Located in the vibrant Lower Queen Anne neighborhood, the transit-oriented project is proximate to downtown job centers and adjacent to a range of public transit options, including a nearby light rail station.
Impact
Affordability
Kōz in Lower Queen Anne will deliver 17 units of deeply affordable housing units, affordable to households earning 40-60% of AMI, and another 69 units restricted to households earning up to 80% of AMI.
Sustainability
The project is all-electric and will be constructed to Washington State’s “Built Green” standard. It is adjacent to a range of public transit options, providing easy and cost-effective connections to downtown Seattle employment centers.
Diversity
The project sponsor, Kōz Development, is a woman-led firm with a focus on developing workforce housing in the Pacific Northwest. Kōz in Lower Queen Anne is MSquared’s second investment with Kōz Development.
